Students

When ever you have the opportunity to merge students and professionals the outcome is always well received. 

Working with FIDM students, the professional members of ASID have created programs and events for the sole purpose of working together.

These events include:

Real World Design Week: A student shadows a professional for a day or a week to see what is really involved in the Practice of Interior Design

1. Career Day;  Students and Professionals meet for a day of seminars, lectures. portolio reviews. Lunch is included and so is tour of the LA Furniture Mart
2. Student Gathering: The ASID President Elect hosts a lunch and learn at their home.
3. Home and Kitchen Tour: This annual event takes months to coordinate and is the Pasadena ASID’s chapters largest fundraiser. There are a number of opportunities for students to work with the Designers on the tour.
4. Monthly Mixers: Once a month an Industry Partner hosts a get together.  ALL members are incouraged to participate and the ones that do tend to be the students that you see working at the Tour, the Parking Lot Sale and the apprenticeships
5. Community Service projects, this changes every year
