Cha-Rie Tang of Direct Imagination is a graduate of MIT architecture department, licensed architect, public artist, sculptor in clay, manufacturer of Craftsman tiles, publisher of 19th Century design books, and glass artist. Her drawings grace a couple of the Pasadena ARTS buses. They also hang at Community Bank and Pasadena Building Department. Her sculptural tiles and fused glass art are installed at LA Exposition Park Library, LA County Administration building, and will be at the MTA Gold Line Station in Monrovia. She also designed several murals for the City of Mission Viejo. She is a collector of Ernest Batchelder tile impressions and has won approval from Alan Batchelder, grandson of Ernest, Isabelle Greene, granddaughter of Charles Greene, and Dr. Robert Winter, noted historian and reproduces these tiles for contemporary installations with her own glazed field tiles.
