The Pasadena Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) presents its first-annual “Historic Pasadena Tour-Stunning Historic Interiors in Public Spaces,” inviting the general public to tour selected early 20th-century historic interiors in some of Pasadena’s most treasured public spaces. The self-guided walking tour takes place Saturday, April 30, 2011, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will feature expert-led workshops throughout the day providing insight into decorative elements displayed in these spaces that include stained glass, moulding, tile, ceramic, and more. Come and explore Pasadena’s history of design excellence and its relevance today.
WHAT: ASID Pasadena Chapter’s first-annual “Historic Pasadena Tour – Historic Interiors in Public Spaces.”
WHEN: Saturday, April 30, 2011, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
WHERE: About 6 locations in Pasadena’s Playhouse District. Please note two locations with restricted times: Pacific Asia Museum 10: a.m. – 1:00 p.m., All Saints Church 1:00 p.m. –4:00 p.m.
HOW: Self-guided tour with scheduled workshops throughout the day that will provide expert insight into stained glass, moulding, tile, ceramic, and other decorative elements, as well as styles that define interior spaces of Pasadena’s early 20th-century public buildings.
COST: Ticket includes tour and all scheduled workshops.
